  • For next week’s message: Read and reflect on Galatians 3:15-18.

Things to Consider: (Feel free to read Scripture passages that God brings to mind as you work through these questions)
  1. What about the sermon challenged, encouraged, or confused you? What, if anything, would you like further clarification on?
  2. How do you suppose your perspective on life would change, if in your presence someone you had a close bond with were to sacrifice themselves to save you; as was the case with Staff Sgt. Ian Newland?
  3. How might you think differently, speak differently, or behave differently as you lived your newfound life?
  4. How do you respond to the idea that it is no less true that Jesus sacrificed himself for you because of the close bond He formed with you?
  5. If you accept the above statement as true, has His sacrifice impacted your thoughts, words, and deeds in the same manner or to the same degree as your answer to question 3? If it is different in nature or degree, why do you suppose?
  6. What might you do to more fully express with your life a deeper sense of gratitude for what Jesus did for you?

As always, feel free to contact Charles if you have questions or concerns regarding the message; its content, meaning, or application to your life. The easiest way to do that is by submitting a Bridge Card at steamboatbiblechurch.com/bridgecard.
