Title: "Are you serious right now?!"

  • Condemning false teachers

  • Countering claims that he was the one perverting the gospel for fear of offending people
    • Galatians 1:10

For next week’s message: Read and reflect on Galatians 1:11-17.

Things to Consider:

1. How easy is it for you to receive gracious words that are offered to you by others?
2. How easy is it for you to offer gracious words to others?
3. What role do you think your personality and/or upbringing played in your ability to receive and offer words of grace?
4. Are you less inclined to accept the gospel of grace vs. works because you don’t understand how the Scriptures portray it (i.e. a lack of shrewd-mindedness) or because you have a hard time letting go of the pride of self-accomplishment (i.e. a lack of simple-heartedness)? What led you to answer the way you did?
5. Spend some time in prayer with God, contemplating and confessing the ways you missed God’s mark of perfection recently, then receiving His forgiveness for those failings, and last, thanking Him for His grace that far exceeds your failures.
