Things to Consider: (Feel free to read Scripture passages that God brings to mind as you work through these questions)
  1. What about the sermon challenged, encouraged, or confused you? What, if anything, would you like further clarification on?
  2. Have you ever been confronted by another Christian for what they perceived as hypocrisy on your part? If so, did you think they had a right as a fellow Chrisitan to do so? How did you receive it? What would have made the experience better, from your perspective?
  3. Have you ever confronted another Christian for what you perceived as hypocrisy on their part? If so, how did they respond? Did you know their story well before confronting them? Did you have a solid grasp and confirmation of your understanding of the gospel and its application before confronting them? If you could do it over, what would you change, if anything?
  4. Read Romans 14:1-12. What strikes you about this passage? How would you summarize the principle that Paul is teaching in this passage? In what way might God be challenging you to improve in applying this principle?
  5. From your perspective, what would be worth breaking fellowship with another believer over? Do you see any godly examples of that in the Scriptures?
As always, feel free to contact Charles if you have questions or concerns regarding the message; its content, meaning, or application to your life. The easiest way to do that is by submitting a Bridge Card at steamboatbiblechurch.com/bridgecard.
