Sermon Notes

Date of Sermon: April 5, 2026 - Easter Sunday

Sermon Title:
"Peace to You"

Primary Passage:  Luke 24:36-48
Message Outline:
  • We can have peace when Jesus presents Himself to us as the physically resurrected God man,
    • Luke 24:36-37 (ESV)
    • John 20:24-29 (ESV)
  • Because He has provided physical proof,
    • Luke 24:38-40 (ESV)
  • Rational proof,
    • Luke 24:41-43 (ESV)
  • Prophetic proof,
    • Luke 24:44-47 (ESV)
  • And historical proof.
    • Luke 24:48 (ESV)
  • Main Idea: You can bank on the fact that Jesus is God in the flesh.
    • Luke 24:49 (ESV)
    • Joel 2:28-29 (ESV)
Things to Consider:
  1. What about the sermon challenged, encouraged, or confused you? What, if anything, would you like further clarification on?
  2. What is the biggest obstacle(s) to you having increased confidence that Jesus is the physically resurrected God man?
  3. Which of the proofs Jesus provided is most important to you (Physical, Rational, Prophetic, or Historical) and why?
  4. What does it mean to “bank on” something?
  5. When you “bank on” something, how does it impact your actions (thoughts, words, or deeds)?
  6. Do you agree with the statement: “The more you bank on something, the more it will show in your actions”? Why or why not?
  7. What do your actions reveal about how much you bank on the truth of Jesus being the physically resurrected God man?
  8. Do you wish for more? If so, what do you think it would take to bank more on Jesus?
