Things to Consider: (Feel free to read Scripture passages that God brings to mind as you work through these questions)
  • How did the sermon/study of the passage impact you positively or negatively? What about the passage would you like to know more about?
  • When was the last time you shared all or part of your spiritual journey (your “story”) with someone? If it’s been more than a year, what has prevented you from sharing it? How comfortable were you with sharing it? What contributed to your comfort level being what it was? What impact does sharing your story have on you? What impact does it have on those with whom you share it?
  • When was the last time you asked someone else to share their spiritual journey (their “story”)? If it’s been more than a year, what has prevented you from asking? What impact does hearing someone else’s story have on you?
  • It’s been said that everyone is either an “attractor” (a person you look forward to engaging) or a “repeller” (a person you try to avoid engaging). Which one, do you believe, best describes you? What evidence in your life supports your description? What kinds of things do you do to try to increase your attractiveness to others, especially people you just met or haven’t met yet?
  • How would you like to personally grow in either sharing your story or hearing others’ stories?
As always, feel free to contact Charles if you have questions or concerns regarding the message; its content, meaning, or application to your life. The easiest way to do that is by submitting a Bridge Card at steamboatbiblechurch.com/bridgecard.
