Things to Consider: (Feel free to read Scripture passages that God brings to mind as you work through these questions)
  1. What about the sermon challenged, encouraged, or confused you? What, if anything, would you like further clarification on?
  2. If you were to ask those closest to, would they say that your life is increasingly characterized by joy? What about freedom from legalism?
  3. What has contributed to your growth, or lack of growth, in those attributes?
  4. What was your attitude toward classroom versus recess when you were in elementary school?
  5. How does the concept of “perpetual recess in Christ” sit with you and why?
  6. When do you find your joy decreasing? When do you find your joy increasing?
  7. Who exemplifies to you an authentic embodiment of freedom from legalism and increasing joy and how do you suppose they nurtured those qualities?

As always, feel free to contact Charles if you have questions or concerns regarding the message; its content, meaning, or application to your life. The easiest way to do that is by submitting a Bridge Card at steamboatbiblechurch.com/bridgecard.
