      • Matthew 11:28-30

For next week’s message: Read and reflect on Galatians 1:6-10.

Things to Consider:
  • Acceptance: Contemplate your experience of being loved and accepted by God. How well are you able to rest in His acceptance of you? If you struggle with experiencing and resting in His love and acceptance, what is it about you that you think is unlovable and unacceptable to God? Who told you that God doesn’t love and accept you for those things. Think back to where you’ve heard that. Bring those thoughts to God. Renounce them as lies to Him. Thank Him for loving you and accepting you just as you are, because of your faith in Christ.
  • Sustenance: What practices sustain you in your relationship with God? How might you strengthen these? What new practices might you try as new ways to draw nearer to Him?
  • Significance: Think about your gifts and your sense of calling (your unique way of being in the world). What is it about you that makes you light and salt to others and attracts them to you? Take a few minutes and thank God for giving you that sense of identity.
  • Abundance: Who are you investing in and who is investing in you? What fruit is God cultivating in you and through you? Where are you seeing God at work and how are you joining Him at present? Take a few minutes and converse with God about increasing your abundance of fruitfulness and teaching you to discern and obey His Spirit’s leading.
  • Cycle of Law: If you are struggling with feeling of shame or guilt, confess your failures to God and then thank Him for His cleansing. Ask Him to help you begin to experience His grace afresh and teach you to soar on the wings of grace He has given you. Resist the lies that you can’t or you’re not worthy. Acknowledge that you are accepted by Him and thank Him for that. Take a few minutes to sense His pleasure in you.
